About I Will Train
Back In 2010…
I Will Train was born on the beaches of Hawaii. I had only been a trainer for about 2 years at that point and had the opportunity to travel to Kona and volunteer for the Ironman World Championship. I was dabbling in triathlons and it was a truly humbling experience. As a novice endurance athlete, I was in awe at what these athletes could endure.
2.4 miles of swimming in the ocean, a 112-mile bike ride, and a full marathon to cap it all off. I was stationed at mile 1 of the marathon, so everyone I saw had already been competing for hours. The level of suffering on that course was unreal and it really put things in perspective for me. After seeing the various levels of athletes on the course, I had an “aha moment”.
It takes an Iron Will to be an Ironman.
It’s not only the act of completing the race that is so impressive, but the months and sometimes years of training it takes to get there. That is the real challenge. If you can do the training, the rest takes care of itself. That’s when it came to me.
Iron Will Training
I would start an online training business that would allow people all over the world to train and discover their Iron Will and strive to be the best version of themselves.
The name was eventually shortened to I Will Train but the concept remained. I Will Train is more than a name, it’s a statement, it’s a promise.
It’s a promise to yourself, it’s a promise to your family, it’s a promise to everyone who loves and depends on you. When you say, “I Will Train” you’re saying:
I commit to becoming the best version of myself
I commit to making my health a priority
I commit to taking hard choices over easy ones
